Outline of Rabbit and Horse to use in Making Stencils

Cookie Cutters make great sources for Silhouettes and Outlines to use in making stencils.
Rather than trying to draw around edges you can place them on a scanner or copy machine.
Leave the cover up and place a white cloth draped over them and the scanning area.
(*Remember, look away from light or anywhere your peripheral vision can see the light while it scans*)
When they are scanned there will be some shadows but you should still get a good outline.
Place images under plastic stencil material and trace your pattern for cutting out stencil.

CC1.0 Public Domain picture of Oil painting with a Boy in a Blue Sailor's Outfit and standing on the shore. Image for using in making Art ephemera.
 Boy in Blue Sailor's Outfit

This is an Oil Painting made by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
Nice image to use when you need to add a little color to your project.
Or, include it in projects with themes of Blue, Water, Children, and "By The Shore" themes.
This would be nice printed on card stock for ephemera.

Silhouette of Landscape with Family Cabin

This papercut  silhouette has so many details.
With an relatively short time investment;
you could easily create about 20 different stencils.
You could use the same silhouette in sections without making any changes.
Or, make individual stencils of the trees, animals, and family.

Stencils made from this image would be great to use for making gelli prints.

Illustration of a Worm Gear Front and Profile

This illustration of a worm gear shows a front and profile image.
Drawings like this work well in themes that may not immediately come to mind.
Some theme ideas are all types of Transportation and Vehicles,
Machines of all kinds, even Robots.

This wonderful bit of fantasy art shows swans swimming on a lake with fairies all around.
In the lower right corner appears to be a seated fairy queen watching a show on the water.
On the water there are three fairies in what look like boats made of shells with thin fabric sails.
Three more fairies can be seen above the crest of a moonlit wave.

The red coats of this scene add some movement for the eyes.
The dark wine shade of the ground gives some balance and keeps the viewers eyes moving without jumping around the scene.
This would make a great coloring page if it were simplified a little by removing the background
horse in the middle and the two half visible dogs in the center (and maybe the building?).

Mom Cat watching Kittens Play with Ball of Yarn

CC0 & Public Domain oil painting of Moma Cat and Two Kittens Playing with Yarn. Picture for Junk Journals & Ephemera. Photo to use in Derivative art.

Moma Cat looks a little startled! Maybe it's because one of the kitties is playing with the curtain!

This could be made into interesting ephemera by printing it out on card stock and cutting around the outline of the kitties.
You wouldn't need to cut the whole shape of the cats out; just cut enough to get the
shape of the heads and ears of mom and the kitten on the right.

Dogs, or a Dog and a Wolf?

A drawing in the Public Domain featuring Dogs. CC0 image of dogs to use in making art works or crafts. Good dog picture to use in coloring pages.

The original artist listed this drawing as a dog and a wolf.
Wolf or dog; either way, it is still a good drawing with easy lines.
The animals and the tree should be easy to use in any project you wish to add them to.
With a little work this illustration would make a good simple coloring page that
still has enough stuff in it to be interesting.

Light is breaking through the clouds above the Lighthouse;
giving assurance of divine intervention even when the lighthouse
wasn't enough to prevent the ship from crashing on the rocks.

details of the painting can still be seen when the image is smaller.
