Cookie Cutters make great sources for Silhouettes and Outlines to use in making stencils.
Rather than trying to draw around edges you can place them on a scanner or copy machine.
Leave the cover up and place a white cloth draped over them and the scanning area.
(*Remember, look away from light or anywhere your peripheral vision can see the light while it scans*)
When they are scanned there will be some shadows but you should still get a good outline.
Place images under plastic stencil material and trace your pattern for cutting out stencil.
