Antique Photograph of a Man Wearing a Top Hat Riding a Horse

Public Domain CC1.0 Antique photograph of a man wearing a top hat while riding a horse. Man riding a horse. Cabinet Photograph of a man riding a horse
Antique Photograph of a Man Wearing a Top Hat Riding a Horse

This is an antique cabinet photograph of a man wearing a top hat
while riding a horse.

Cabinet photographs are dated about 1860's to 1930's.
They were mounted on heavy card-stock.
(this one is dated about 1890's)

They are called "cabinet photographs" because;
when photography was still somewhat new,
people displayed photographs in cabinets
(mostly in parlors of wealthy home owners).

Jack of Spades Card

CC0 Image of Jack of Spades Card. Public Domain Vintage Playing Card with Jack of Spades. Picture for Printing ephemera. Art for making junk journals.

Jack of Spades Card

This Playing Card features a man in court dress holding a staff, a sword, and a pike.

I guess he's ready for any challenge of authority.
He bangs Staff on floor while saying "You go no further, Dude"
He puts Pike in face "Do you really want to try that?"
He draws Sword "You're Dead Dude"

Butcher delivering meat on horseback

Public Domain Image of a Butcher delivering meat on horseback. Vintage illustration in public domain. Working Horse picture CC1.0. Meat delivery.

Butcher delivering meat on horseback

I'm curious why the butcher's horse has no tail hair.
Maybe the horse stays in a small stall.
Maybe the horse wore it off slapping at flies.
The saddle rack for carrying meat is also interesting.
It appears to be designed so the butcher doesn't have to dismount to make a meat delivery.
It is probably in front of him so he can protect it from any dogs that might want a free sample :)

You can make something similar to this if an image has a good outline.
First Convert a picture to black and white.
Then try alternatively using the Paint Bucket Tool, the Eraser Tool, and the Pencil Tool until you get a crisp outline.
When you choose the eraser and pencil tools pick options with crisp edges and put the opacity at 100 percent.
